Yapps are modular mini-apps: simple web applications that can be accessed as standalone sites or inside Yodl Pay via an iframe.
Through Yapps, Indiehackers and developers can build applications on top of yodl’s payment infrastructure without having to manage payment plumbing or authentication from scratch.
Yapps can both be payment-centric as well as serve lighter or complementary purposes.
Yapp examples:
Payment-based Yapps:
- Integrating off-ramps or other dapps requiring deposits
- Bill splitting or invoicing tools
- Community stores for merch, snacks, or event tickets
- Educational or onboarding flows involving payments
- Networking tools: assign usernames, verify identity, implement access restrictions
- IoT integrations: trigger real-world actions like unlocking a beer tap after payment
Non-payment Yapps:
- Educational or onboarding flows
- Networking tools: assign usernames, verify identity, implement access restrictions
- Static agendas or event overviews
- Community documentation pages
- Games or other interactive experiences
If it’s a web app, it can be a Yapp.
