Communities lets groups create and configure their own curated version of Yodl Pay, tailored to their members. Same core payment features, but with their own selection of Yapps.

A community can be anything: A pop-up city, a recurring meetup, a co-working space, a conference, or a DAO. Communities let groups align around shared Yapps, whether for onboarding, payments, logistics, or interaction, without having to build or host their own platform.

What you can do

Each community chooses which Yapps to include. These can be built in-house or reused from others. You control what’s shown, how it’s presented, and which Yapps your members can access.

Examples of community Yapps:

• Local shop to sell merch, snacks or tickets
• Donation yapp for funding community projects
• IoT-powered Yapps, like a self-serve beer tap or coffee machine
• Member tools like subdomain issuance or onboarding flows
• Content focused Yapps, such as an agenda or documentation

Monetization

Communities also enable monetization.

Hosts can optionally set a community fee on payments made within the community. This creates a simple way to fund operations, support shared resources, or contribute to a treasury.

How it works

No signups, no approvals.

If you own an ENS domain, you can configure a community with custom ENS text records. Once the text records are set, your community becomes:

• Accessible at yodl.me/c/yourcommunity.eth
• Discoverable inside Yodl Pay

yodl reads the ENS record and renders the community interface automatically.
